I went in and got a full chocolate amore cake here on a whim for someone's birthday because I didn't want to get a grocery store cake. We all loved it. You always think a chocolate cake is going to be overwhelmingly rich--this was perfect. Moist cake, dense but pleasant crumb. Mousse between layers, really nice ganache on top. Usually I can only have a few bites of a chocolate cake but this one is dangerous - I could down a pretty fat slice of this really quick Worth the price and the staff is super sweet. The owner is also taking $$ donations for the fire victims in Pasadena! They have coffee and stuff too, will have to try it next time. This is my new go to place for cakes. I might even come in just to get a slice for myself one day :)

Little gem in the IE. They have the BEST cakes! My coworkers always buy a cake from them when it's someone's birthday at work. All of their cakes and frostings are not too sweet so if you like that then this is the place for you. You can buy whole cakes or even by the slice. Hands down my favorite cake is their Strawberry Fresca. The vanilla chiffon sponge cake is light and moist. I love the fresh strawberries and whipped cream topping. They also sell various baked goods like cupcakes, pastries, cookies, and more.

Cute bakery. Picked up a whole carrot cake for a birthday. Most amazing carrot cake I've ever had!!! Entire family had nothing but wonderful things to say. While there picked up a few cookies and desserts. Lemon blueberry cookie, everyone should be able to try these. Ding dong cake...very rich and easy to share. Nutter butter cookie, closest replica to a butter butter. The outside was crumbly while the cream filling was smooth. Great combination.

Stopped by on Sunday, 11/10/24 for the first time. Ordered the following to-go: - 1 Iced Cider Chai Latte = $4.75 (oat milk for an additional $1) - 1 amore sliced cake = $6.75 SUBTOTAL = $12.50 TAX = $0.52 TOTAL = $13.02 Unfortunately this place does not sell anything matcha related (no matcha drinks and cake). Also no coffee cake. Overall, this place has a wide variety of selections in terms of pastries and desserts.

I came here last minute/same day to pick up a cake for my nephew's graduation party. I called before I came down to confirm that I can pick any available cake on a first come first serve basis. I decided to try Layered Cakerie since there wasn't much of a same-day selection at Some Crust. There was a line of folks when I arrived which I took as a good sign. I selected the cookies and cream cake and asked that a message be written on it. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes, so the service was really fast. I also bought a few cookies to try, and they were amazing. The family loved the cake, so Layered Cakerie hit a homerun at the first at-bat. We'll be ordering from here again! The staff is an incredibly helpful and clear about the cost of goods and services. And they're friendly!

My new cake shop and it'll be yours too! Absolutely loved their cakes. I was last minute cake shopping and found this gem. They have whole cakes, beautifully decorated, ready to go! They also have this option to build your own cake, you pick 8 slices of cakes (whatever flavor you want) and they put them together to form a whole round cake. Before doing that I decided to try a few of the different flavors so opted for the carrot cake (Easter themed), slice of mocha, and slice of almond rum. They were all a hit with my family. The mocha was 10/10 the best one (so far). They were all delicious but the mocha was at the top. They are just the right amount of sweetness, very moist, and flavorful. There is plenty of parking outside. There are also reward stamp cards and the staff were all helpful and kind.

Although I miss the original Dolce's vibe and restaurant, their new branding for Layered Cakerie still hits the same luckily for just a bakery. There are many sweet treats to choose from and they all look so pretty. Don't sleep on their cookies! The raspberry linzers, blueberry lemon, and Mexican hot chocolate cookies are my favorite. I recently ordered a custom quarter sheet cake as well for my sister's 30th birthday party. I ordered in advance in the beginning of December for late January. I filled out a consult message from their website and someone reached out to me within a couple days. She consulted with me about the cake via phone call and confirmed the finalized design with me over text. I paid half over the phone and then was required to come into the store to pay the rest. We picked up the cake with no issues. I like the way it turned out and they did a better job than I ever could attempt. If I have to be a bit nitpicky, the final cake had a more soft rounded look to the edges than the more defined shape as seen in the inspo photo. Either way, my sister loved it and so did her guests. It tasted great too! There were 15 of us and we had enough cake for everyone and a decent amount of leftovers. The staff here are very nice and I love that they have regular cakes they make daily for walk in to pick up which we did for my husband's birthday.
